more-inHaving completed the first phase of the cleaning of the banks of Tamirabharani in the city during the recently held first phase of the exercise, Collector Sandeep Nanduri has planned to organise the second phase of the cleaning operation within a couple of weeks. Thanks to the efforts of the students and the volunteers, over 7 tonnes of garbage was collected and removed. Evaluating the previous cleaning operation, Mr. Sandeep said the next phase of the exercise should be devoid of the mistakes that had crept in inadvertently during the first phase. Hence, it is necessary to execute the second phase in a more planned manner,” Mr. Sandeep said. Mr. Sandeep appealed to the public and commercial establishments to join hands with the district administration in cleaning the river.
