The United States is 'looking into' banning TikTok amid concerns the social media platform poses a threat to national security, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said late Monday. The comments were made by Pompeo when quizzed about whether the United States should be considering a ban on Chinese social media apps, 'especially TikTok.' 'With respect to Chinese apps on people's cell phones, I can assure you the United States will get this one right,' Pompeo said. 'TSA has never published any content to TikTok nor has it ever directed viewers to TikTok,' the agency said in a statement. TikTok has denied sharing Indian users' data with the Chinese government.
