Silicon Valley autonomous tech developer Aurora plans to have its system ready for semi trucks by late 2023. Aurora estimates it will have $2.5 billion in cash when the deal closes, a net boost of about $2 billion from the transaction that includes a committed PIPE of $1 billion. The company said in a securities filing that it’s targeting revenue of $123 million in 2025, surging to $2 billion by 2027. Nevertheless, Aurora is working with Toyota and Uber on its passenger vehicle program and will have additional news on that front. But we think that Aurora is the best-positioned independent player in the market.
