The 2017 Dream Act, likes its predecessors, focuses on those undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country illegally as children. More than 720,000 young immigrants have been approved under the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, commonly known as Daca. But he said Republican senators have privately told him they are open to finding common ground on the question of Dreamers.
