Gazipur District and Sessions Judge AKM Enamul Haque announced the verdict on Monday. The death row convicts are Razeeb Hossain aka Raju, Md Quayyum, Md Razeeb Hossain, Md Farooq Hossain, Md Shafiqul Islam aka Parvez, Md Ali Hossain aka Hossain Ali, and Mohammad Ali aka Chhoto Ali. Another suspect, Masud aka Mama Masud, was sentenced to five years in prison and fined Tk 10,000. Razeeb Hossain, Md Quayyum, Md Shafiqul Islam, Mohammad Ali and Masud were in court when the verdict was announced. The victim’s uncle, Akhtar Hossain, filed a case against 8-10 suspects at the Joydebpur Police Station the following day.
