KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 19): AirAsia Group has announced that some of its flights from Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Johor Baru to southern China and Taiwan will be affected by Typhoon Haima tomorrow and on Friday. In a statement today, the budget airline said flights cancelled or rescheduled tomorrow include those departing to or from Kota Kinabalu to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Taipei; flights departing to or from Kuala Lumpur to Kaohsiung, Shenzhen and Guangzhou; as well as flights departing to or from Johor Baru to Guangzhou. On Friday, the affected flights are flights departing to or from Kota Kinabalu to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Taipei; flights departing to or from Kuala Lumpur to Shantou, Changsha, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Macao; flights departing to or from Johor Baru to Guangzhou; and flights departing to or from Langkawi to Guangzhou. It added that all affected guests will be notified by AirAsia via email and SMS. AirAsia is closely monitoring the potential impact of this storm and will continue to update guests in a timely manner on any changes due to Typhoon Haima,” it said.
