Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Calgary and parts of southern Alberta on Sunday. Environment Canada said conditions were favourable for the development of a severe thunderstorm that could bring strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. The agency said a storm was located over southeast Calgary and slowly moving east, as of 3:14 p.m. Last weekend, two storm systems brought heavy rain and hail to the Calgary area and a large swath of southern Alberta.
