Medical malpractice lawyer Paul Harte has argued that the committee should never be dealing with sexual abuse complaints, unless they are clearly frivolous. “All but the most frivolous abuse complaints should be sent to a hearing where the health-care professional will get a fair hearing. “Assembling a comprehensive picture of how regulatory colleges deal with complaints of sexual abuse is still a challenge,” the task force said.
