Oladimeji RamonA lecturer in the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Administration, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Olabisi Olaleye, has been recommended for dismissal for an alleged sexual offence. Olaleye was recommended to be dismissed from the employment of the university by the Prof. Yetunde Ajibade-led panel, which investigated Afolayan’s allegations against him. The OAU Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, said in a statement on Thursday that the investigative panel had submitted its reports to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede. The panel, according to the source, commended Afolayan for summoning the courage to speak out and for presenting foolproof evidence against the lecturer. Before the panel’s verdict on Thursday, OAU had placed Olaleye on half salary, while investigation into the case was ongoing.
