A spot on stage performing at Shakespeare's Globe in London is still on the horizon for a Manawatū teen pursuing a future in musical theatre. Sarah Judd, 18, has started at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts in Christchurch for a degree in musical theatre. She was last year selected to go to Shakespeare’s Globe in London, as a member of Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand’s Young Shakespeare Company. Judd, a former Awatapu College student, had been a regular on stage and behind the scenes in theatre in Manawatū. Last month she organised a fundraising concert to help with her studies called The Next Generation, which featured 14 top young Manawatū performers.
