His colleague, Shatta Wale on the other hand made a donation of $100,000 to aid government to send supporters to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. President John Dramani Mahama, who launched the fundraising campaign, also announced government support for interested television stations to acquire World Cup broadcast rights, ensuring Ghanaians can follow the team's campaign. The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto.
