A police officer was butted by a fugitive sheep after trying to chase after it as the farm animal brought a city centre to a standstill. The dog handler left his patrol vehicle and tried to block the ram's path but the surprisingly-fast creature dodged his attempts. Lancaster Police Dog Unit tweeted a photo of the ram and said: 'First job of the day was to sight this running on Lancaster one way system. 'If you have lost a sheep it's safely in our custody and no sheep or dog handlers hurt during the process.' Meanwhile, Matt Hamer joked: 'City centre traffic "rammed" as usual.'
