CAIRO – 11 April 2021: The Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award convened to evaluate the results of the 15th edition and approve the names of the winners in the award’s nine branches. The Board of Trustees has approved the names of the winners after reviewing the recommendations of the scientific committee for the award, and the winners will be announced at the end of April 2021. The winners will be honored during a virtual ceremony in May in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. The current edition is the largest in the history of the award in terms of the number of nominations, as the award received 2,349 submissions in 2020/2021 in its nine branches, with an increase of 23 percent compared to the previous edition. A total of 25 works have made it to the shortlists that the award announced in March.
