Sheriff awarded money for radar speed trailers and speed up traffic stops

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office has received two grants from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to speed interactions with the public during stops on the road and to implement radar speed trailers. “The goals of these projects funding by GOHS are to address critical roadway safety issues such as impaired driving, speed related crashes, and related injuries and fatalities,” according to a media release. {{featured_button_text}}× Register for more free articles Stay logged in to skip the surveys Log in Sign up {{featured_button_text}}The two grants total $66,666, according to a sheriff’s office media release. The second grant will be used to purchase two radar speed trailers totaling $20,000.
