Sherwood junior Donovan Lacey backpedaled as his high-arcing shot bounced off the front of the rim and fell through the cylinder. The three put Sherwood ahead in the fourth quarter of a 56-48 road victory against Magruder. Senior John Ervin (14 points), junior Davis Long and Seils combined for 12 steals as the Colonels were held to their third-lowest scoring output of the season. Magruder (7-5, 2-2) chipped away at its double-digit deficit behind senior Bryan Boehlert’s 18 points and junior JT Tisdell’s defensive performance. The Colonels trailed 25-20 at halftime and scored the first six points in the third quarter to take the lead.
