CHATTOGRAM, April 4, 2026 (BSS) - A ship, "Shan Gang Fa Jian", has docked at Chattogram Port with 34,000 tonnes of diesel from Malaysia. Chattogram Port Authority Secretary Syed Refayet Hamim confirmed the arrival on Saturday morning. The ship arrived at the Kutubdia Channel in the Bay of Bengal at the outer anchorage of Chattogram Port on Friday night. Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) sources reported that the tenth diesel-carrying ship has arrived at Chattogram port since the conflict in the Middle East began. To ensure a steady fuel supply, the company is importing additional fuel from alternative sources outside the Middle East, in addition to the pipeline supply.
