Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear plea by father of Army Major Aditya Kumar, seeking quashing of FIR against his son in connection with the Shopian firing. According to reports, the apex court has agreed to hear the plea and the matter has been listed for Monday, February 12. 3 civilians were killed in Shopian firing. Where PDP has defended the FIR, ally BJP has strongly opposed it. The unruly mob was requested to disperse and not obstruct military in performance of their duties and not to damage government property but when the situation reached beyond control, a warning was issued to disperse, the plea said.
