This season Gordon is averaging 4.1 assists per game and shooting 41.1% from three, both career highs. That effectively counts out the 2022 pick and the 2023 pick from any trades at the trade deadline. However, if the Warriors are looking for a sixth man who can provide defensive versatility and athleticism next season, Oubre is a pretty good option. So the financial cost may not be a reason not to pull the trigger on a Gordon deal if it’s there now.
