Achieving change solely via constitutional means hasn't been the typical course of events in the majority of civil rights movements. After the recent Women's March, there was online criticism about signs proclaiming that simply ''loving one another'' is how progress is made - as if the world is a Disney movie. But for those who recognise how urgently change is needed, think about how you might go about achieving it. For peaceful protest and preaching love to have an impact, your oppressor has to have a conscience, and in many cases, they do not.
