Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the showcasue notices to 37 newly inducted IAS officers demanding to know the reason as to why they were absent for the session with Bibek Debroy. As many as 37 newly inducted IAS officers were issued show cause notices by the Centre on Monday and warned of action for missing an interactive session by Niti Aayog member Bibek Debroy recently. An interactive session with Debroy was organised on Friday in which all Assistant Secretaries were directed to participate. These 172 IAS officers are on three months tenure, beginning August 1, as the Assistant Secretaries.
