PETALING JAYA: Former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull (pic) has come out to say he has given his full support to his successor. Mohd Shukri said he had not questioned Latheefa Koya's appointment as the new MACC chief, and urged detractors to give her a chance. "Don't worry (about Latheefa being from outside the MACC) because those who do the work are MACC officers. When I was the MACC chief, my job was only to mobilise the officers to do the investigations," he said. Mohd Shukri said it was important for Latheefa to work closely with MACC officers, and likewise for the officers to offer her guidance for her to succeed as the MACC chief.
