The teardrop-shaped island in Surigao del Norte placed eighth in the list of 20 across the globe. The surf paradise also made a mark for its “fringed with pristine beaches, tree frog-green mangrove forests, and sweeping groves of coconut palms.”Conde Nast also recognized Siargao as the “Best Island in Asia” in October 2018. While Plymouth in UK, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Salvador in Brazil ranked second, third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.
