MUMBAI: Siemens has bagged an order worth Rs 570 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India for supply of the world's largest STATCOM (Synchronous Compensator) projects, the Indian arm of the German capital goods company said in a statement on Monday. "Power consumers across three states will be benefitted in the form of constant grid voltage and frequency leading to availability of uninterrupted quality power," the statement said.The order entails design, engineering, supply, civil, installation, testing and commissioning of STATCOMs at four substation locations of PGCIL: Ranchi, Rourkela, Kishenganj and Jeypore across the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha.
