Silver futures fall 0.19% on weak overseas cues


NEW DELHI: Silver prices fell by 0.19 per cent to Rs 41,715 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed their exposure amid a weak trend in global markets At Multi Commodity Exchange , silver for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 80 or 0.19 per cent to Rs 41,715 per kg in a business turnover of 315 lots.Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month September declined by Rs 77 or 0.18 per cent to Rs 42,470 per kg in a business volume of 2 lots.In the international market , silver fell 0.03 per cent to USD 17.47 an ounce in Singapore Analysts attributed the fall in silver in futures trade to a weak trend in the precious metals in global markets.
