Earlier this month, Forbes reported that the best country for expats was Singapore, following an earlier study by Colliers International that the city-state was the second best Asian tech hub in the world scoring 63%, just behind Bangalore in India. Take the example of Rod Lappin, SVP at Lenovo, who is at the heart of the Singapore tech sector and is now in his second stint on the Island. Singapore is unique as a tech hub and has a welcoming approach to expats as well as a highly educated local workforce, stable Government and excellent connections to the rest of Asia. The process of moving tech expats around the world needs to be simplified. Expatland began as a best-selling book by John Marcarian, written in 2015 that refers to a virtual country populated by the 244 million expats of the world.
