Sinn Féin’s histrionic political performances of the past few weeks, with the supporting cast of the Social Democrats and People Before Profit, would grace any stage. The Latin phrase ‘respice finem’ reminds us to always look to the end, to the ultimate objective of any action. Sinn Féin seeks not truth, but simply to try and gain political advantage by attempting to make the Government appear incompetent by any and all means possible. Sinn Féin’s motivation is always a negative one, to besmirch, belittle and ridicule their political opponents. There is already so much fake news in everyone’s day that we don’t also need it on our shopping list.
