Sir David Attenborough has quit Instagram just two months after launching an account to spread an environmental message. However just two months after creating his page, the 94-year-old's account now states 'no longer active' in the biography section. The takedown comes after Sir David broke records on the platform by becoming the fastest page to gain a million followers. Sir David reached the feat in just four hours and 44 minutes - beating the record previously held by Jennifer Aniston's five hours and 16 minutes. Sir David had made his first foray into the world of social media in September with a specially recorded video message to fans explaining his motives in signing up.
