CAIRO – 17 September 2020: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi welcomed, Thursday Ronald S. Lauder president of the World Jewish Congress in Cairo, and discussed with the latest political developments in the Middle East, along with the Egyptian-American relations. The President of the World Jewish Congress lauded the outstanding relations between Egypt and the U.S. across various levels. He valued Egypt’s role in reinforcing peace and stability in the Middle East under the leadership of President Sisi as well as its efforts to combat terrorism and extremist ideology. The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East peace process. President Sisi reiterated the need to push forward international efforts toward resuming negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis.
