CAIRO – 16 September 2020: The Egyptian president in remarks to people on Wednesday has again warned against attempts by “evil powers” to “destroy the state” through campaigns that seek to make people question national achievements. This came while President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has inaugurated a number of educational projects, including Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology in Alexandria’s city of Borg El Arab. Sisi said some states and parties have decided to fund platforms that claim they seek to make good changes, while their “hidden face is destruction”. These political currents aim at “destroying the nation, ditching it, impairing [the conditions] of people and bringing back camps and refugees. You want to destroy us so that we stand still for 150 years?” the president said.
