The release of the 2019-20 fixture list on Thursday saw Arsenal ’s opening game of the season against Newcastle United moved due to domestic TV commitments. Arsenal appeared on UK TV 25 times last season. But regardless of the Gunners’ TV commitments in the first half of next season, six matches will be moved due to Europa League commitments. As a result every league game due to take place after their Europa exploits will be moved from the originally scheduled Saturday to either Sunday or Monday. It is certain those won’t be the only matches rescheduled during the first half of the campaign due to TV commitments.
