Six police officers were charged yesterday with obtaining more than Sh20,000 from matatu so as not to charge them with traffic offences. She denied the charge and was released on Sh30,000 bail and an alternative Sh60,000 bond. Officer David Maina denied receiving Sh1,600 bribe and officer Caroline Chelangat denied receiving Sh900 bribe on November 18 last year at City Stadium. Chelangat, Muthoni and Maina were released on Sh30,000 bail each and an alternative Sh60,000 bond. Madobe and Kioni were released on Sh50,000 bail each and an alternative Sh100,000 bond, while Barasa and Munyaka were released on Sh60,000 bail each and an alternative Sh100,000 bond.
