Six regions to be without electricity for 12 hours Friday


General News of Friday, 5 April 2019Source: 3news.comSix regions to be without electricity for 12 hours FridayAffected areas within the affected regions will have their electricity supply cut from 6am to 6pmElectricity supply to parts of six regions across the country will be cut off for 12 hours Friday as part of an on-going load shedding management by the Power Distribution Services (PDS) Ghana Limited. A timetable issued Friday morning by PDS listed the Ashanti, Greater Accra (including Tema), Central, Volta (including Oti), Western (including Western North) and Eastern regions as the affected areas. Per the timetable, a number of towns and areas within the affected regions are will have their electricity supply cut off from 6:00am to 6:00pm Friday, April 5. Notwithstanding the timetable, areas which will be enjoying electricity supply “may experience outages” while those who have been scheduled to go off, “may have their supply restored”. The release of the timetable comes on the back of a directive by the Public Utilities and Regulatory Commission (PURC).
