Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Mayor Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles, who each nearly ran for president themselves, introduced a segment about how the coronavirus pandemic has wrecked small businesses in America. Mr. Brown spoke with a small manufacturer and a clothier, while Mr. Garcetti discussed how a restaurant owner was on the verge of losing her business because customers had stopped coming. They were joined by Representative Cindy Axne of Iowa, who met with a farmer whose business had been wrecked first by President Trump’s trade war with China and then by the pandemic.
