Snow-swept Edmonton sees over 100 vehicle collisions in 24-hour span


In Edmonton, 122 collisions were reported to Edmonton police between Friday 5 p.m. and Saturday 5 p.m. There was one fatal collision, eight injury collisions, 20 hit-and-run collisions and 93 collisions involving property damage. Edmonton police are advising motorists to drive carefully due to poor road conditions as a result of snowfall. According to police, it happened around 1:40 p.m. near Anthony Henday Dr. and Cameron Heights Rd. Road conditions remain poor and drivers are advised to drive cautiously, slow down and allow plan extra time to reach their destination.
