Soon after a 29-year-old woman stalked by two men — one of them is Haryana BJP president’s son — took to Facebook and shared her harrowing experience of being “almost kidnapped” in Chandigarh, a cross-section of people were quick to react. Many users expressed shock that such an incident could take place in Chandigarh, while others praised her presence of mind too. There were many users who applauded the Chandigarh police for the timely action, as did the woman herself. Had it been Haryana, she would have not found a cop even she searched 3 days flat,” tweeted a user. “The drunk stalker son of Haryana BJP Chief was arrested only because the girl is the daughter of senior IAS officer,” tweeted lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan.
