SOLOMON Islands is ready to host the “largest unifying event” for the nation as its government welcomes all Pacific Island teams making their way to Honiara for the 2023 Pacific Games with Niue, the first to settle in. The elated Prime Minister Sogavare has proudly said that the 2023 Pacific Games will be the “largest unifying event” for the nation and will be for his government to shine. This event will be our single largest unifying event for the nation.”Pacific Island countries are expected in Honiara over the weekend – Niue has been the first country to arrive and settle in Honiara. The theme for the 2023 Pacific games comprising three simple words; Challenge, Celebrate, Unite, which aptly describes Solomon Islands vision and hope that the games will continue to unify the nation. This is the first ever Pacific Games that Solomon Islands will be hosting with the official opening kicking off on November 19, 2023.
