Some international stock markets rose, and the dollar held near three-month lows, after a U.S. rally that pushed the S&P 500 into positive territory for the year. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 rose 2.6% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index added 1.9% in Tuesday’s early afternoon trading in Hong Kong. The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.5%. The Australian index had been closed Monday for a holiday.
