A spring snowfall closed some schools in Nova Scotia on Monday, while others were dismissing early. All schools in the South Shore Regional Centre for Education were closed. In the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education, all schools in Shelburne County were closed. All Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education schools, except those north of Smokey, were dismissing one hour early. A number of schools were dismissing early in Strait Regional Centre for Education, and classes at St. Mary’s Education Centre and Fanning Education Centre/Canso Academy were cancelled.
