The 10-year-old son of a Kansas state politician has died while riding on the world’s largest water slide, according to the family and officials. Verrückt, which means “insane” in German, was certified as the world’s tallest water slide by Guinness World Records. State representative Scott Schwab and his wife released a statement saying their son Caleb Thomas Schwab died on Sunday at Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City. Riders go down the slide in multi-person rafts and have to be at least 54in tall, according to the park’s website. Cameron Morgan, a spokesman for Kansas City police, said he did not have any information, and Prosapio said more details would be released later.
