A songwriter who claims he wrote Robbie Williams' mega hit Angels has reignited his feud over the track almost 30 years after its release. Posting on TikTok, Irish singer-songwriter Ray Heffernan, who sued Robbie last year, has once again claimed that he originally wrote Angels almost 30 years ago. Robbie has previously clarified that he recorded a demo with Ray, but that he later significantly rewrote the song with Guy Chambers. The singer also bought the rights to Angels from Ray for £7,500 before it was released in 1997. Robbie has previously admitted he recorded a demo version witih the aspiring songwriter, who penned the hit after his partner suffered a miscarriage.
