Seven private cars, light goods vehicles and motorcycles suspected to have been illegally modified have been detained by police in West Kowloon in an operation to detect illegal road racers. The police also charged drivers of 141 vehicles with speeding during the two days to Sunday and the suspectes face fines. In the wake of the operation, the police also issued defective vehicle reports to owners of five other private cars and a medium goods vehicle.
