Amidst all this, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has proposed a roadmap for the resumption of cricket. In a letter written to the state associations and accessed by several media outlets, Ganguly wrote that the resumption of domestic cricket must start as and when the conditions improve. The BCCI is confident that the coronavirus situation will improve and that there will be a healthy domestic season in 2021. What is more interesting is that the BCCI has proposed hosting England in 2021 in the month of February while all efforts will be made to start the IPL in April 2021.
