Multiple sources including HK01 and TVB reports that at least four pan-dem lawmakers including Civic Party’s Alvin Yeung Ngok-kiu, Dennis Kwok Wing-hang, Kwok Ka-ki, and Kenneth Leung Kai-cheong from the Professionals Guild will be disqualified. Sources say the National People's Congress Standing Committee has added to their agenda to solve the filibustering in the LegCo, which could result in multiple disqualifications of lawmakers from the pro-democratic camp. Tam Yiu-chung, Hong Kong’s sole deputy to the National People’s Congress Standing Committee this morning said it is not good for lawmakers to use various means to disrupt Legco’s normal operation, quoting opinion polls saying they are not suitable to be lawmakers. Tam delivered this message before heading to Beijing to attend a two-day National People’s Congress Standing Committee meeting, which draws speculations that the meeting might cover discussion on the potential disqualification of the pan-dem lawmakers.
