South Canterbury A&P shows ramp up entertainment focusDOUG FIELD/STUFF Southern Canterbury Agriculture and Pastoral Show Association manager Rito Oswald says his show has become more focused on entertainment rather than show-casing agriculture and pastoral farming. Entertainment is becoming a major focal point for two South Canterbury A&P shows as several associations note continual growth year-on-year. Southern Canterbury Agriculture and Pastoral Show Association manager Rito Oswald said his event, like other A&P shows was becoming more entertainment based and less about livestock. "These A&P shows are shifting from the animal side to the entertainment side. The South Canterbury A&P Show will be held over November 25 and 26 at the Waimate A&P Showgrounds, and would also utilise the newly built Waimate Shears Pavilion building.
