SEOUL—A major South Korean insurance company denied a claim by a cryptocurrency exchange that suffered a devastating cyberattack in December, the exchange operator said Thursday. That month, Seoul-based Youbit was hacked for the second time in eight months, losing an unspecified amount it said represented 17% of its total assets.
