Photo: BSSDHAKA, Apr 11, 2026 (BSS)- The South Point School & College, Malibagh branch, finished 13th among twenty six schools in the FIDE ISCF World School Chess Asian Continental event that concluded in Almaty, Kazakhstan on Friday night. South Point School and College team scored eight points from eight matches. In the seventh round, South Point School & College lost to Mongolia's Bolovsrol Secondary School by 1.5-2.5 game points. In the eighth and final round, South Point School & College defeated Tajikistan's Secondary School No. Uzbekistan's Wisdom School emerged champions with 16 points and Russia's Kurchatov School finished as runners-up with 14 points while India's Velammal MHS School secured third place with 12 points.
