Veerapat Kiatfuengfoo, deputy permanent secretary for energy, said guards were now on duty at all petrol stations and strategic energy locations to ensure the safety of employees and customers. The Department of Energy Business will maintain petrol stocks and secure supply routes for the far South, he said. There are backup plans to use optional and secured routes to maintain energy security in the region."
