The dream for Southlanders to swim safely in local spots during summer may soon be a reality thanks to a $700 million national funding boost. The Action for Healthy Waterways Package, announced by the Government on Thursday, will create new jobs and benefit the value of New Zealand's agriculture export and tourism offerings, as well as cleaning up waterways.
