In February, he was arrested on charges of rape and murder of a seven-year-old girl in Mugalivakkam. On Saturday, Mr. Sekar had gone to work and Daswant and Sarala were at home. When Mr. Sekar tried calling his wife, there was no response. According to police, the special teams have questioned his friends and relatives and have fanned out across the city.
