The North Lane Group, a subsidiary of the online retailer SportPursuit, has acquired the British high-end cycle apparel brand Vulpine. Vulpine was founded by Nick Hussey in 2012 – his much fêted firm collapsed in 2017 after blowing through more than £1 million in crowdfunding from 588 shareholders. In 2017, Vulpine had sales of £1.175 million. Wilchap 564 inherited Vulpine’s 55,000 email list but, in a down market, was unable to capitalize on Vulpine's strong brand name. Vulpine will be the first brand under the ownership of the North Lane Group.
